Very rare panoramic head for horizontal and vertical photos, made in the mid-1930s by E. LEITZ N.Y. consisting of the FARUX panorama tripod head, the interchangable rings for the Summitar 50mm and Telyt 20mm, the FIAVI angle bracket and the DOOLU spirit level.
A model of that has been produced in Germany. Have a look at James Lager's book "Accessories", page 101 (last picture).
The ring, marked Summitar, has two scales divided into 10 and 14 sectors respectively, corresponding to angles of 36 and 25 degrees. The ring marked Telyt has two scales divided into 36 and 55 sectors corresponding to angles of 6.5 and 10 degrees. The shown camera, lens and ball & socket head are not included.
This really is a unique piece.
